Creative Dance
In this class the students have the freedom to explore the basic concepts of movement. Through their discoveries they will learn coordination, posture, and most importantly, expression.
Children's Program
The Children's Program is based off of learning Ballet, Tap and Modern Dance. These three techniques together prepare the children technically, rhythmically and conceptually for their journey to becoming a dancer.
Jazz
Students will study the art form of jazz through its technical base of movement. While doing so they will learn the different styles of jazz and how they relate to the culture of America.
Tap
Fancy foot work is just the beginning of the student’s education in tap. Through their technical abilities they will learn how to manipulate rhythm through improvisation, as well as dive into the rich history of a true American dance form.
Modern
In this class, students will learn how dance transformed from technical to natural movement and then how they combined to form techniques that have become simultaneous with specific choreographers. They will study different choreographic forms and discover that they too have their own style of dance.
Theatre Dance
Theatre Dance is a history of an art form combining acting, singing, and dancing. This class will offer the students an opportunity to study it=s rich history by learning techniques and dances choreographed within this past century to the present.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance breaks all the boundaries of any technical art form to date. This class will challenge each student to find their own boundaries technically and emotionally, and move beyond them to reach new heights as a dancer and a person.
Hip Hop
This class will be taught as a fusion between athletic jazz and classic hip hop. Each student will learn to manipulate their body through intricate details of pops, locks, rolls and contractions. It’s a fast and fun experience that will have you coming out of class with a smile.
